Welcome to Teso Educational Support Services
Teso Educational Support Services (TESS) is a charity which exists to support vulnerable young people originating from or living in Teso in north-eastern Uganda through secondary, tertiary and vocational education.
We would like to see every child in the Teso region of north-eastern Uganda grow into the whole person that God intended them to be through relevant education (as well as spiritual and emotional development, life skills and self sufficiency training).
Would you like to join us in this mission?
TESS achieves its objectives by running an educational sponsorship programme and through the building of Shalom International School for Life-Long Learning in Teso. Click on the photographs underneath to learn more about each programme.
International Women's Day
Jean Moores (TESS trustee and sponsor) was chosen alongside a number of women for an award on 'International Women's Day'.
Jean and her husband Paul are sponsors of 3 students and they jointly coordinate a group called 'Grapevine Soup Lunches' who collect together to sponsor a further 2 TESS students.
Jean received this award due to her voluntary work in the community where she lives and for her support of TESS through the Grapevine group.
Perhaps you would like to form a group such as Grapevine to raise money for the education of students in Uganda?
